The new Triumph Rocket 3 will be showcased in India on 5 December, 2019. The bike has given rush of adrenaline to all the motorcycles enthusiasts since its launch earlier this year due to its sheer size, power, performance and specs. The Rocket 3 will be showcased at the 2019 India Bike Week which is scheduled for next month in Goa. The showcase coincides with Triumph’s sixth anniversary in India.
The Triumph Rocket 3 is available globally in two new variants: Rocket 3R and Rocket 3 GT. The Rocket 3 R has an aggressive seating stance whereas the Rocket 3 GT is more of a comfort ride designed for touring purposes. Rocket 3R comes with a sportier handlebar and footpegs in the middle. Rocket 3 GT is equipped with a lower seat height, adjustable footpegs, a slightly bigger fly screen and a backrest for the pillion. Triumph India is yet to announce if both the variants will be showcased at the Goa Bike Festival 2019.
The biggest highlight of the Triumph Rocket 3 is its monstrous 2,500 cc, liquid-cooled engine. Triumph claims it to be largest production motorcycle engine. The three-cylinder, DOHC engine produces 167bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 221 Nm at just 4,000rpm. The Rocket 3 boasts of 0-96 kmph acceleration in 2.79 seconds.
The new engine is lighter by 18 kilograms and overall, the new Rocket 3 is around 40 kg lighter than its predecessor. The new Rocket 3 comes equipped with rider modes, ABS and traction control come as default. The new Rocket 3 also has features such as hill hold, cruise control and keyless ignition.
